Biography
Iain Carroll is a Scottish illustrator who was born in Kirkwall, the capital of the Orkney Islands. A persistent doodler and ‘good drawer’ in school he studied Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art then Strathclyde University (alongside an HND in Illustration). After graduating he worked in various architectural practices but always found himself preferring to draw scenes from his imagination rather than buildings.
He has recently committed himself full time to his illustration work. His talents and perseverance have seen his first published picture book ‘Monsters Unite’ with renowned author Sara Sheridan.
Iain lives with his young family & cat Cuthbert in Pollokshields, Glasgow.
